I think this epsisode would not have worked with Servalan in the arch-enemy return in the previous episode Traitor only briefly but the arch-villain Servalan is rather overused in series D and that could be why she never appears in Blake the finale and the way the finale omits arch-enemy Servalan herself is a shame in billions of ways

Great to see you enjoying the episode HE and pulling threads out of it. I love the start involving the asteroid and Vila’s solution. You could stop it with Vila’s triumphant line and it would be a perfect mini episode.
There’s one or two more turkey to come, but get through those and you’ll see the rest of the series really makes up for the never first half. You’ll also see some of the things you wished for above – a bit more of Scorpio, Avon and Vila’s effortless teamwork, all sorts of things.
There’s some great outtakes from this episode on the blooper reel but again I think you should avoid it until you get through everything just in case.
There is a Wimpy advert with Paul Darrow in it. You can look that up as a reward instead, but be careful not to look at any other suggested links around it!

Really interesting to see you coming to grips with Series D – and so much of what you’re saying here reminds me of my own thoughts at the time. Yes – the Scorpio *does* seem less interesting than the Liberator, but, *yes*, it is rather cool seeing it actually landed on a planet.

And Dayna is rather well-served in scenes during this show. However, by comparison, I was getting increasingly hopefully that Soolin *might* be given a little more background or character or slice of the story. Anyway, still a few more episodes for that to happen…
