I have certainly done my best to steer clear of spoilers, but I had been pre-warned about this issue giving things away. I did really fancy reading them in the same timeframe as 1981’s viewers, so decided I was happy to start Series D knowing as much as they did. My plan is to read the next few issues as they originally came out, in between watching the episodes.

I urge you not to read any more of the monthly mag until you’ve seen all of the last series. You’ve now had several things spoiled for the first episode, and that allow you to second-guess the plot knowing how the chips fall by the end credits.

I hope that doesn’t sound like a telling-off. There are still some more great surprises up ahead and the magazine assumes everyone already knows them all. They had lots of access to the last series so it’s heavily centred around the fourth series.
